Foundry & Forged Industry

A foundry is an industrial plant where metal is melted and cast into specific shapes by pouring it into a mold. The process itself is centuries old. Today, approximately 90% of all manufactured goods depend on metal castings for component parts, with cars and trucks being the largest market. Aluminum, iron, and steel are the most common metals processed in foundries but other non-ferrous metals are also used for casting, or as alloys added to steel. Mayflay produces an extensive range of shot blast machines for deburring, desanding, derusting and surface cleaning the foundry parts. Machines can be equipped with other process machine to treat the casting parts as they can pass through your parts in a continuous process, or batch type to treat castings in batch quantities. The right machine for your process will depend on the complexity of your casting and forged parts, your production method, part size, number, preferred handling method and product flow.
