Pipe shot blasting machines are highly flexible systems that can be applied in many applications such as de-scaling, de-sanding and de-rusting of pipes in the industries of boiler, water pipe, oil, liquefied natural gas, bridge pier in port and harbor, coal gas etc. It can especially be integrated with roller transport system, hydraulic draw-bench system and loading & unloading system to work as a continuous production line.Brief Profile
Pipe shot blasting machines are specially designed for constant and continuous blasting of de-scaling, de-sanding, cleaning and pre-treatment for different sizes of steel pipe with technology of shot blasting to improve the surface roughness for painting and enhance steel pipe lifespan and fatigue strength, and at the meanwhile, eliminate surface residual stress due to cutting, soldering, pulling. Stable structure of the V-wheel enables this machine to work with high efficiency. Pipe is driven by the V-wheel to go directly into the blasting chamber and the angle of inclination can be adjusted according to requirement to change the rotating and transporting speed with variable-frequency control motor and gear motor.
This blasting machine is usually long and giant but compact and loaded with 2 blast wheels and even more to meet different requirements of surface cleaning and strengthening.
High-efficiency transport system
The V-wheel system is combined with three segments: inlet segment, blasting segment and outlet segment. Variable-frequency speed regulation is adopted to have stable and reliable operation and optimized blasting result on work piece and save abrasives and costs. Pipe is driven by the V-wheel to go directly into the blasting chamber and the angle of inclination can be adjusted to change the rotating and transporting speed with variable-frequency control.
High-quality supporting system
The roller bases of driving side and engaged side are installed symmetrically on a slope. Different sizes of steel pipe can be stably supported according to the adjustment of the distance between the rollers and center line of the pipe.
Blasting sealing and compact design
The blasting sealing combines with enough rubber segments to keep the machine sealing effect excellently and it prevents accidents of shot spillage.
Ultimately compact design for easy operation and wide range of options of models to adapt to diversified production efficiency and sizes of steel pipes.
Reliable quality & long lifespan
Shot blasting chamber is completely engineered of steel plates with thickness between 6 and
10 mm. For optimum wear protection, the area exposed to the blast stream is lined with replaceable protective manganese steel plates. These overlapping liners are not bolted on but hung with a special system.
Programmable Logic Controller
PLC control unit handles all process parameters of work pieces blasting without unnecessary repeat input, saving much time of parameter configuration, much working hours of operator.
Smart communication with built-in 3D guiding technology UI and 10 Inch colorful touch screen for safe operation, easy maintenance.
Environment protection
Great importance is attached by Mayflay to environment protection: noise and dust emission. We adopt high-end methods to reduce noise to 85DB and dust emission concentration to less than 50mg/m3 (these results can be even better with higher standard of configurations).
Flexible way & high-end blast wheel
Work piece static loading and unloading, automatic & fast transport, multiple work stations with fixed and rotating blasting.
Mayflay has high-performance casting blast wheel and fully CNC machined blast wheel. Each of the blasting wheel can provide accurate and effective blasting result for different work pieces with extremely long lifespan and easy maintenance.
Blasting chamber system
a.The basting chamber consists 6mm-10mm thickness steel plates well welded in one piece and 10mm Manganese 13 steel protective boards, offering excellent wear resistance for the exposed area to the blasting shot stream
b.2 or more blast wheels are installed at both sides of the chamber to guarantee that the work pieces can be cleaned thoroughly.
A unique special multi-layer rubber sealing system is developed and installed at the inlet chamber and outlet chamber to protect the side steel plates and keep the machine sealing effect excellently and prevent accidents of shot spillage.
V-wheel or Roller wheel transport system
a.Variable-frequency speed control system is used for the whole transporting system for the work pieces to have stable and reliable operation and optimized blasting result.
Steel pipe goes straightly forward with rotation in to the blasting chamber to be blasted thoroughly.
Screw conveyor system
a.1 or more screw conveyor systems, formed by screw axle, blades soldered on the screw axle and screw heads at both sides, are installed at the bottom of the blasting chamber and driven by the gear motor of the bucket elevator to transits the shots to the bottom of the bucket elevator. Shots are lifted by the buckets to the upper part of the elevator and put into the shot separator.
1 screw conveyor system is optional for installing at the top side of the bucket elevator to both push shots to the shots separator and separating partial dust and small broken shots through the rolling mesh sieve.
Bucket elevator system
a.It includes, 2pcs high-quality wheel hubs, 1 elevator body, 1 high-performance and durable belt and several alloy buckets, and is driven by 1 gear motor at the top of the elevator
b.The dismountable elevator is built with steel plates by accurate soldering technique. It collects and lifts the shots recycled by the screw conveyor into the separator and storage cabinet.
An access port is designed on the elevator for easy maintenance and examination.
Separator system
1.The air-flow separator is used to separate good shots and broken shots and dust. It is built and soldered with steel plates and different chambers are designed inside to lead the air flow
and multi-level steel plates are installed to adjust and balance the sliding shots flow amount. 2.Shots & dust mixture is transported from the screw conveyor and go downward on a sliding steel board and get into the way of the air flow. Good shots are heavy and not driven to move by the air flow but broken shots are much lighter to be lead to the other slide board that connected with a broken shot collector/bucket. Dust directly flows in the air flow direction and is taken to the air outlet to be dealt with by the dust collector.
3.Magnetic separator is available for powerful sand separating of sand-casted parts.
Semi-automatic flow valve
a.Completely sealed semi-automatic flow valves are equipped with each blast wheel to control the flow amount of the shots into the blast wheels with lockable examination window and 2 bearings.
A manual stop valve is installed at the upper part of each flow valve to manually stop the shots flow under the circumstance of examination or maintenance.
Casting& CNC machined blast wheel system
a.Based on its referred blast wheel model TITAN Series from SCHLICK Corporation and in combination of our own industrial advantages and features, Mayflay specially-designed casting & CNC machined blast wheels have excellent performance of dynamic balance and perfect shots output efficiency and great convenience for maintenance. It is combined with a highly hard-wearing impeller, 8pcs extremely hard and durable plug-pull type blades, a control cage and a shot distributor to control the blasting direction and pre-accelerate.
b.Mayflay P series power system is used in this blast wheel: specially-designed and manufactured ABB motor, die steel CNC machined + low-pressure & vacuum heat treatment vulnerable parts inside. These special vulnerable parts have 58-62HRC surface hardness that is extremely durable and has super long lifespan. The most outstanding feature is the no-load current is only 6 Amps.
Variable frequency speed control technology to control and adjust the power of the blasting.
Dust Collector System
a.Cyclone separator + cartridge filter. Most of heavy dust is separated and collected in the cyclone separator and the remaining air & dust mixture goes into the cartridge filter in which the dust is blocked and filtered, and fresh clean air goes through the filter to go out.
b.electromagnetic pulse technology is used to separate the dust from the filter surface and dust goes down to the collect storage cabinet due to its gravity.
c.The silencer and secondary filter realize our environment-friendly principle and ensure that noise emission is lower than 85DB and dust emission is lower than 50mg/m³.
Wet dust collector is available. High performance dedusting system, with Venturi theory, is a great dust separator especially for flammable and explosive media. Wet dust is automatically recycled and the electromagnetic water valve automatically open to provide new water when the water level in the water box is low.
